Thank you to all who attended LIVEXchange 2017 and made it such a great success!

LiveCorp in conjunction, with ALEC and WALEA, worked to deliver a hard-hitting and thought-provoking conference from 15-16 November in Perth, Western Australia. The program focused on taking stock of the current industry standing and discussing how to improve the adaptability, sustainability and accountability of the trade into the future.

Both the LIVEXchange Conference and the MLA / LiveCorp Producer Briefing Forum were well attended, with over 400 delegates including Ministers, international delegates, government officials, exporters, producers, and other industry stakeholders and supply chain members.

The keynote addresses given by David Lock (Mareterram Limited) – Taking Stock: Making choices and planning for the future, and Geoff Raby (Geoff Raby & Associates) – Adapting Australian businesses to succeed in China, were definite highlights. The Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner proved yet again valuable for the industry to come together and reflect on the year in a more social environment. The Gala Dinner also provided the opportunity to recognise two leaders of the industry – Holly Ludeman, Harmony Agriculture and Food Company (Young Achiever of the Year Award), and Graham Daws, Managing Director of Emanuel Exports (Lifetime Achiever Hall of Fame), as well as formally thank David Galvin (outgoing LiveCorp Chairman) and former Senator Chris Back, for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

The annual Charity Auction that followed raised a grand total of $53,200 in support of Ronald McDonald House Perth, and the St John Ambulance WA First Responder Program. The great generosity of those who donated and purchased the auction items is commended.
